Life transfer + life siphon = -10 degen (actually -11), cheap and quite spammable, and most enemies can't do anything about it except die. It's a killer in random arena, but add a monk, interrupts and shatter hex and things change.

EDIT: Oh yeah, an important piece of news: female ritualists have wiggly boobs, just like eles!

Conjure nightmare -8 deg = 1 skill 1 more slot for conjure phantasm -5 dege or life transfer -7 life deg...

Life sip + life trans -10 (or more) deg = 2 skills 1 less slot...

I for one havent seen it yet. I signed expecting to build a new character and participate, but ANet decided to minimize how many people participate in this bets. I've already seen one mention in this thread of people who dont want to delete their characters theyve worked hard to get where they are, and I'm positive their are many many more who feel the same way.

Dont get it twisted, I love guild wars. But not giving us the oppurtunity to utilize what comes with the expansion? BS. At least LA will be fairly empty with the beta weekend.

Ranger skills are bugged, gonna report it later. The energy cost that says on some skills isn't the real one, -10 energy from what says on the skill is the case in many skills.

Elem spell graphics on the new skills are pretty tame. In some cases, even worse than Ch 1.

Female faces are range from plain to ugly. In the set of faces for Ch 1 there seemed to be several different artists involved as the styles vary a lot. In Ch 2 it seems all the faces were done by the artists I didnt like :/

Dissappointed at the number of clone skills. I hope they are placeholders or are at least modified a little. Also, the skills I would really want cloned (eg, fireball) are not cloned.

I'm not very happy with the update, simply because there's no real guidance. I mean, graphically it's amazing, I love the new areas and skills and monsters, but I felt a bit...lost. I think there's too much to do straight away. I don't think I'll play FPE again this weeked, too much pressure on me to get everything done (granted, it's myself applying the pressure but whatever).

Could it be? Maybe it's finally calculating your Expertise into what you see for your skill cost! Yay!

I'm confused about those, too. I don't understand the point. If they wanted to have copies of certain skills available to Factions-only characters, why not just set them to 'core' rather than 'Prophecies'? And the skill selection seems bizarre. Why make a clone of Spinal Shivers, of all things? And Whirlwind?

I just wish I understood the reasoning.

I agree, it's already somewhat annoying making the trek in Droknar's Forge, Lion's Arch, Henge of Denravi to visit the Xunlai Agents. This is pathetic, but when standing in Droknar's, I've zoned to another town to access storage to get what I need, then zoned back to Droknar's. So these huge towns are a bit of an annoyance. But then again, would we really want every town to be small like Port Sledge, Maguuma Stade, and so on?

You know you can send yourself an invite, and create up to four new characters for the weekend, right?

I know exactly what you mean, I began to feel that during the Wintersday event wishing it would finally end so things would go back to normal. But as mentioned before, keep in mind that with the release of Factions, your character will start out at Level 1, in a training place sort of like Pre-Searing Ascalon. So then the feeling of being thrown out in the middle of an ocean without knowing how to swim will begin to subside(hopefully).

Well guys, you've mentioned the negative things, but what about the positive?
I am yet to play it until i get home in a few hours, but i still remember the good things i read about, such as Guild Alliances, controlling towns, etc.

But it looks like they've tried to save some of the good stuff for the actual game, but went ahead and left the bad things for us.

I dunno, i will try it in a little while.

Linsys - you aren't helping.

Complaining about complainers is oxymoronic. All you're going to do is start a flame war...

I think it's fine people are starting threads to express how they feel. That's kind of the whole point of having these forums in the first place... feel free to chime in with your experiences, but don't hate on complainers for simply saying their mind!

I just wish I was actually able to play, rather than being stuck at work...
